Fall Textbooks will be available to
purchase on-line and in-store starting August 1.
(Undergrads can use
their ID for bookstore purchases August 1 - September 10.)
Orders will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. If you ordered a used textbook, and we no longer have stock, you will be substituted with a new textbook and charged the price for the new textbook.
We think the following information is important. Please read carefully.
Your credit card or Student ID will not be charged until we physically pull the books for your order. If you select Bookstore Bucks or a Bookstore Gift Card as your method of payment and you do not have enough money on that account to cover your entire order, and you do not select another method of payment, we will automatically charge the remaining balance to your tuition account.
The total at the end of your transaction posted online may not necessarily be the total charged to your credit card because of the following reasons:
- New/used book substitution made
- Publisher price changes
- book(s) is unavailable
In addition, you will notice that books for your classes may be required, recommended, or store recommended. Here is how the Bookstore classifies each of these categories:
Required - professor requires you to
have this book for the class
Recommended - professor recommends purchasing the book
as an added supplement for the class
Store Recommended - these are books or items that the
CSB/SJU Bookstore notes as helpful for the class
Occasionally professors make revisions to their course list. The Bookstores are constantly updating the book list to provide you with the most accurate information. If the course information changes after you purchase your books, please refer to our return policy. The refund policy for in-store purchases is also applicable to online orders, meaning the refund deadline dates are the same and an original receipt is required for all refund/exchange transactions.
